The bin most Christchurch jobs actually need
The 4.5m³ skip is Pete’s all-rounder: big enough for a full garage clear-out, a medium renovation strip-out, a green waste avalanche after a big section tidy, or several rooms of household junk — yet still compact enough to sit on an ordinary suburban driveway. If the 2m³ mini feels slightly too small but a 6m³ feels like overkill, this is almost certainly your bin.
Like every bin in the fleet, the 4.5m³ has rear doors that swing open for easy loading, so couches, whiteware and bagged rubbish walk straight in. Delivery is by compact truck — smaller than standard gantry skip trucks — which means Pete can thread the bin down shared driveways in Riccarton, into tight Halswell sections, or onto Rolleston and Prebbleton lifestyle blocks where turning room is short.
What goes in a 4.5m³ general waste skip
General household, garden and renovation waste: furniture, mattresses, timber, gib offcuts, carpet, green waste, toys, clothing and everyday clutter. Concrete, brick, tiles and clean soil are the one exception — those travel in the dedicated 2m³ hardfill skip so they can be recycled as clean fill. If your load is mostly rubble, tell Pete when you call and he’ll set you up with the right bin.

Call 027 205 4877 (Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4pm) or email petesskips@gmail.com any time — weekends are by appointment. Tell Pete what’s going and where the bin needs to sit, from the Hornby base he’ll arrange delivery across Christchurch and Selwyn, and one call brings the truck back for collection.
