Christchurch Skip Hire (also known as Pete’s Skips) is a locally owned, family-run skip bin service run by Peter van Dorp and family. We’ve been in the skip bin hire business for over 15 years — family-run since 2001 — and we know Christchurch inside out: from Sockburn and Hornby to Riccarton, Halswell, Sumner, Rolleston, Kaiapoi and Rangiora, including permits, shared driveways and tight access.
Our trucks are smaller than standard gantry skip trucks, so we deliver bins into tight driveways and spots others can’t reach. Our bins have rear doors that swing open for easy loading. That practical combination — compact trucks plus easy-load bins — is why locals keep calling Pete first.
